An audience of more than 100 spent Friday evening time traveling to the year 2276 through the writings of a new generation of Indigenous authors who are featured in a new anthology “From the Heart of Our Nations.”

The event, held at 101 Archer, featured a keynote conversation with award-winning author Deborah Jackson Taffa (Kwatsaan/Yuma and Laguna Pueblo), readings by anthology contributors and a book signing in partnership with Magic City Books. Catering was provided by NATV.

“From the Heart of Our Nations: An Indigenous Futures Anthology of Short Fiction” showcases 14 original stories that imagine Native futures 250 years from now.  The works celebrate Indigenous imagination and resilience through speculative fiction that envisions expansive futures rooted in Native knowledge and community.
